Anubias Nana “Thick Leaf” is a less common but highly desirable variation of the Anubias family. This compact plant features small, dark green, rounded, and wavy leaves that create an attractive foreground accent in aquascapes. Its hardy nature allows it to thrive in a wide range of water parameters, making it ideal for beginners and experienced hobbyists alike. This variant prefers good water circulation and low to moderate lighting. Its slow growth rate makes it prone to algae buildup, especially under high light conditions. While CO2 injection is not essential, it encourages faster growth and more robust leaves.

The rhizomes of Anubias Nana “Thick Leaf” easily attach to rocks, driftwood, or other aquarium decorations. Tying the plant down with thread or fishing line helps it root in a specific spot.
