Snowball Shrimp

Snowball Shrimp, scientifically known as Neocaridina davidi var. “Snowball”, are a charming and popular freshwater shrimp species. They are characterized by their pristine white coloration, resembling tiny snowballs.

Snowball Shrimp exhibit a transparent white coloration, which gives them their snowball-like appearance. They lack pigmentation and do not possess any distinct patterns or markings. Their white color creates a clean and elegant look, making them stand out in aquariums.

Snowball Shrimp are relatively small and typically reach a size of around 1 to 1.5 inches (2.5 to 3.8 centimeters) when fully mature. Their compact size makes them suitable for various aquarium setups, including nano tanks and shrimp-specific aquariums.

Snowball Shrimp are generally peaceful and can coexist with other peaceful fish and invertebrates that share similar water parameters. They are active and social creatures, constantly exploring their environment and foraging for food. Their presence adds liveliness to the aquarium.

Snowball Shrimp are considered hardy and relatively easy to care for, making them suitable for both beginner and experienced aquarists. They prefer stable water conditions with a slightly alkaline to neutral pH. Providing them with a well-planted tank, suitable hiding places, and a balanced diet will contribute to their overall well-being.
